I have two main pet peeves. I can't stand people who get multiple readings and people who pick their scabs. My brother used to have the nasty habit of picking his scabs when we were younger. I suppose that he got some kind of sick pleasure out of reopening a wound and watching it bleed. Or maybe it was a cry for help. Besides, blood trickling down a child's knee is definitely an attention getter. I still can remember people's responses. First, they'd ask if he was okay, then they would scorn him with the words " quit picking at it!"

Moses was about to be commissioned by God to carry out a most onerous task; that of leading the captive Israelites out of the land of Egypt and from the cruel bondage of Pharaoh. For many years they had been slaves, daily experiencing the cruel torment of the taskmasters ' whip and they had cried constantly to their God for deliverance and liberty. Moses was meant to be the individual thru whom God would effect this deliverance.

Sage has many healing properties that people may not have previously considered before. For hundreds of years it has been used in sacred smudging ceremonies to help cleanse a space. It is also used on a person to help with clearing negative energy, depression and anger. Some people choose to boil the leaves of sage and use it as a tea. Science has discovered that sage has poly-phenol antibiotic properties in it. For other people, they have claimed that the smoke from smudging can reduce migraines and sinus congestion.

Once again the pages of the calendar dwindle down to a precious few and, as the seasons turn, so, too will the last gasps of 2011 give way to the beginning of 2012. Much has been made of this coming year and what it may bring to this frail blue orb which we humans call home.

They typically call this "back-sliding" and it is nearly a joke in some circles because people tend to 'back-slide' by doing some shameful acts that they rather enjoy (in the moment). One of the keys to success written by Napoleon Hill in his Law of Success book stated having a definite chief aim. Christians, in order to be ultra successful need to have a definite chief aim not only to be successful in the world we live in today, but also for the world we are seeking to get into tomorrow. It has probably occurred to you that one might as well have no definite chief aim unless one has a certain and practical plan for making that aim become a reality.
